Google Site Verification is a process to verify that you own the site you are trying to add
Some Google services can only be used by site owners. Once the ownership of your site is verified, you can control it, view your analytics, or submit your sitemap. “Your site ownership” means “your store domain ownership.”
The Google Site Verification API allows you to develop apps or services that automatically verify and the verified owner can grant full access or permission to other users.
Features:
- Verify ownership of your site by uploading a special HTML file to a specific location on your site.
- Verify ownership via your domain name provider (the company that you purchased your domain name from)
- You can verify your site using the Google Analytics tracking code.
